The Department of Philosophy in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Minorities and Philosophy invites applications for two full-time Lecturer positions, beginning August 2026. These are renewable, benefits-eligible appointments with a 3–3 teaching load across the undergraduate curriculum.
Area of specialization is open. We especially welcome candidates who can contribute to our offerings in ethics, social and political philosophy, philosophy of race and gender, or non-Western philosophical traditions, and who can teach our large introductory courses to a student body that is majority first-generation.
Required: PhD in Philosophy in hand by the start date; demonstrated excellence or clear promise in undergraduate teaching.
Preferred: Experience teaching diverse student populations; a record of inclusive pedagogy; willingness to advise undergraduate philosophy organizations, including our MAP chapter.
Submit a cover letter, CV, teaching portfolio (including a statement of teaching philosophy, sample syllabi, and evidence of teaching effectiveness), and the names of three references. Applications received by August 15, 2026 will receive full consideration; the search remains open until filled.
